Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Rochester, NY - Petty Larceny
I was arrested for petty larceny. I am guilty of stealing $100 worth of goods from Wal-Mart. The problem is I am supposed to leave for college in just a month, which is out of state.
This is my first offense. I am wondering what my charges would likely be. If I am on probation I will not be allowed to leave the state for school correct? Also, if I do community service does it have to be in that county or could I do it while away at school?
Final question, I am supposed to go to orientation this week, I was not given bail but am I allowed to leave the state for my orientation?
