Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

sealing my record

I have been given an ACOD. The case was of Aggravated Harassment over the Phone. My tenant wanted to get even with me since losing the small claims in civil court so filed a case in criminal court. Anyway, he never showed up with required evidence in the case that he had a tape where I was threating him over the phone. I want specific answers to following questions

I have ajob offer from a big company in NY and they will do a background check on me

1. What will show up on my background check?

2. Do I need to have my record sealed? How much does that cost?

3. How long does the procedure takes to seal the record?

Thanks for answering.

Re: sealing my record

An acd means that after 6 months if you have had no further contact with the criminal justice system ,then your record will be dismissed and sealed. If you would like to discuss this ,you may contact my office @718-834-0087.
