Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

selling alcohol to a minor

I own a liquor store and was ticketed and have to appear in court for selling alcohol to a minor. Is it in my best interest to plead guilty or not guilty and what are the consequences of pleading either way.

Thank you for you help

I concur with both prior answers. Any plea could result in a criminal record and of even further consequence a loss of your liquer license. I recommend getting the best possible attorney , one who is experienced in both criminal defense and in SLA hearings. Please call my office @ 7188340087 for a free phone consultation.

Pleading guilty will give you a criminal record and likely result in the collateral suspension or revocation of your liquor license. I recommend the following criminal defense attorney Barry Kamins, Esq. from Flamhaft, Levy, Kamins, Hirsch, Rendeiro. They are located at 16 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11214. Phone 718.237.1900

Re: selling alcohol to a minor

The decision to enter a guilty plea on this case will leave you with perhaps a criminal record, depending on whetehr we can plea this case down to something other than the current top charge.

If you do take a guilty plea it may involve suspension or revocation of your license to sell liquor, depending on what charge you plea to. This is where having an experienced attorney will be worth its weight in gold.

The most important things here are to ensure that you come out of this with no criminal record, and that your license to sell liquor is not affected.

Please feel free to contact my office regarding this matter, i regulalry handle these types of cases. 2127098303
