sentenced to 4 months now they say 6
my brother was sentenced to 4 months for a A misdemeanor, all of his papers say 4 months, now he is being told that it is 6 months

Hmm. That is odd. Usually on 6 you actually serve 4. Somewhere something is missing. Have you spoken to his lawyer and obtained a copy of the plea and sentencing minutes in court?? You need to get that information so that a lawyer will better be able to find, understand, and resolve your case quickly.
