if i am sentenced to 6 months in jail for an E feloney do I have to serve all 6 months?

NO, the general rule is that you serve ten months out of the year on violent crimes and only eight months out of the year on non violent crimes... Split that in half since your sentence is six months and you get 5 months for a violent, and 4 months if it is a non violent charge...
