Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I was served with a criminal restraining order in Queens County, NY for misdemeanor assault, choking and child endangerment. This is my first offense and I am terrified that I may go to jail. I took it upon myself to take online classes, specifically 12 hours of anger management, 12 hours of drug and alcohol awareness, parenting and 8 hours of domestic violence. I am even trying to put myself into an alcohol treatment program. Will any of this help my situation because I can't cope knowing that there is the possibility of jail.
