Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
my son has allegedly stolen/damaged items belonging to his stepmother,who he lives with.....am i responsible for paying for the items

I'm not sure this is a criminal law question. Was your son arrested by police and charged with these crimes? Sometimes a court will order restitution from the parents, but it sounds like this is more a family law issue.
