Normally a marijuana possession charge is not charged under section 220 but under section 221. This leads me to believe that they charged it as concentrated cannabis or it was mixed with another drug. Normally marijuana possession is a violation and not a crime. In this case your son was charged with an A misdemeanor a more serious offense. I would be happy to discuss it further if you wish.
