Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My son father is currently facing a charge of 220.16 FB (CRIM POSS CONTRL SUBST-3RD B Felony) he has a prior felony in robbery and assault and was looked up in 2010 for possession of crack but that was a misterminer...they offered him six years but he denied it.. can you please give me an insight of how much time he might be facing.

The person you would speak of would be classified as a second felony offender. As his prior conviction for Robbery and Assault was likely a violent felony offense, he would be a second felony offender with a prior violent felony which increases his sentence. The minimum he would face would 6 years, the maximum being 15. He would also have a release to parole supervision after his incarceration, which could go from 1.5 to 3 years. Hope that helps.
