Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

my sons mother put an order of protection on me.... last night a friend of mine saw her with another man and my friend put his nose in it and yelled some things but nothing physical. myself and her have still been text messaging (for our son) during this order of protection....... but last night the cops were called and she claims the police forced this violation (class e felony in buffalo ny) and used her cell phone as proof. sarah now wants to drop all the charges including the order.... will she be able to do this so i avoid jail time?

She should contact the district attorney as well as your attorney. If your friend did not contact her at your request, then I don't see how you violated the Order of Protection unless you were prevented from having any contact with her, even regarding your son.
