Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Speed limit
if I'm in a 55 mph zone going one way about to enter into a 35 mph zone but I haven't reached the sign yet, and an officer is coming out of the 35 entering into the 55 and clocks me while I havent yet reached the sign but gives me a ticket for doing a 55 even though he was the only one in the 55. Can I beat this charge?

Re: Speed limit
Yes, though you would have a better chance in beating it if you were not the only one in the car, and if you had a lawyer of your own to match wits with the cop.
Good luck.

Re: Speed limit
Yes, you may be able to beat the charge but there are certainly no guarentees. A skilled attorney would certainly be an asset.
