Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Stalling my case
I have been accused of stalking and harrasment. This case has prolonged on for almost a year without any proof or evidence. Back and forth to court for no reason. How long can they keep this open without anything against me? No proof or evidence whatsoever.

Re: Stalling my case
This will go on for as long as you let it. Do you have a lawyer? If so, tell them you want a trial as soon as possible. Tell them that if the speedy trial time has run to make a motion. If it hasn't run, tell them to get the clock going and to fight them on every adjournment.
Good Luck.
