In the state of New York, how long can a person be held if the court claims a warrant of an unspecified nature is active. What would the timeline be if this person has been in jail since Friday night.

He has been in jail too long already. They should have determined by now if there is a warrant and if there is, he should have been sent to court for arraignment. He needs a lawyer to file a Writ on his behalf.
