Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
statuatory rape
i was 15 when i got pregnant for my son who is now 18,his father has called and threatened me with kidnapping which i did not do. i legally had my sons last name changed and that is why he is giving me a problem. my sons name was changed in 1993 therefore i have no idea why now he is creating trouble. my question is what is the statute of limitations for statuatory rape. i was 15 the father was 25 at the time i just wanted him to take care of his som, but for the last 11 years the father has not been there.

i practice in florida so i do not know the statute of limitations in tn. i imagine it has expired though. i wouldnt bother pursuing that avenue anyway. consult a family law attorney in tn.
