Re: stealing
There are many factors that will go into determining the ultimate disposition of your case. In a criminal matter, it is not always what you did, but what the police and the District Attorney's Office can prove. You have not given me enough facts in your question to give you a full evaluation, but there is often room to negotiate if the prosecution's case has problems.
Further, your "punishment" depends on other factors such as your prior criminal history, the judge on the case, the county in which you are being prosecuted, the assistant district attorney handling your case, and last, but not least, your defense attorney's ability to negociate the best outcome for you.
You may contact me directly, if you would like to discuss this further.
