I was arrested in 1997 for gun possesion, possesion of crack about 4 grams first time felony was sentenced to 8 months in a county jail i would like to find out if the recorded is sealed because i always ckeck no for felony convictions on job applactions and for some reason i always get the job, but now i worried because i want to get my cdl lisense and i wondering if it will stop me from getting a good job please help.

Your record is open to the public. If an employer were to check , they would find out you had a felony record. If you get caught lying about this, under New Jersey law, that could be grounds for firing you. Ten years after the completion of your sentence you can move to expunge (clear) your record, but you haven't reached that point yet.
