Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Subpoena
My store manager was willing to come to court on my behalf he told my lawyer he was willing to testify at trial.He no longer works for the company. Can he be subpoenaed and will this hurt me. Please answer me soon my trial is 08/20/07. Thank you

Your store manager can be subpoenaed if he has evidence to give. If he's just going to testify about your good reputation, No, he shouldn't be subpoenaed. Won't he appear in court voluntarily?
In any event, if he is subpoenaed, the fact he was compelled to come to court should NOT hurt your case.

Yes he can be subpeona'd and no it should not hurt you.
