how to sue someone comitted perjury?

if i someone wrongly accused me with perjury and filed a false police report, how do i sue him for slander or something else? should i call the cops or DA so resolve the problem? please advice, thanks.

You certainly can sue the person for libel; first, however, the criminal case (if there was one) has to be concluded before you can sue in civil court.

the cops or the DA's office have nothing to do with lawsuits, or civil matters, furthermorei f you are or were the defendant on a case they may not even accept your call or seak to you period! - if you are interested in pursuing a lawsuit you should contact and attorney and meet with them to discuss your possible case, see what options you have...

there are many factors, but overall the perosn must have been lying maliciously to purposely hurt you in order for you to be able to have a viable suit... if simply mistaken etc., this would not be supportive of a case on yoru end
