Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Summons for Disorderly Conduct-Fighting
I received a summons for getting into a fight with another guy. I have a clean record, and am 18 years old. This guy is 17 and has been arrested many times. For this fight, myself and 4 friends received summons, as well of him and 2 of his friends. He was the only one who got arrested. My question is, what is the worst that can happen to me in court? He and I had a previous scuffle as well, and the reason we went to the school is to watch my girlfriends show. What if he says we went there looking for the fight, and since I do not have an attorney, this whole thing gets turned on me. What is the worst that can happen? It is a summons for disorderly conduct and fighting.

Re: Summons for Disorderly Conduct-Fighting
It is difficult to answer this question with out seeing the actual summons. But if you are charged wit ha misdemeanor then you are facing up to 1 year incarceration in the worst. Now, if you are being charged with a violation them it is highly unlikely that you will any time in jail at all. For a more detailed consultation you contact our offices at 7183769500. Best of luck.
