Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I got a summons for loitering at night in a local park. WHen I called the court and asked how to deal with this, I was told it was just a violation and all I had to do was pay a fine. When I went to pay my fine, I was given a lawyer and had to appear in criminal court and given a second court date. I haven't been able to get in touch with the attorney that was appointed to me. What is going to happen at my next court appearance?
