Did your supervisor know, or should he have known, that this person would try to cause you bodily harm? If the answer is "no," you should forget about "pressing charges." If the answer is "yes," then I am not sure what he would be liable for criminally. If the person who tried to cause you harm was arrested and charged with a crime, perhaps the argument could be made that this supervisor was an accessory to that crime. Ultimately, the police or the local District Attorneys office will decide if you have a case. If they decide you do not have a case, then no criminal charges can be pursued against this supervisor.
