Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I switched the price tag in the dept store and got caught. I signed the paper to admitted and i also sign the paper that I can't go to the store for 7 years. They also told me the company will sent the bill for fine. But they did not call the cop to arrest me. How long they still can file criminal case to against me? Please help

Switching tags on an item is probably a misdemeanor with a two year statue of limitations, unless the value of the item was over $1,000 then it would be a felony with a five year statute of limitations. Under your situation they do not plan to file criminal charges against you.
