I have a lawyer but i would like to speak

to the DA. can i do that

That's usually not the best if ideas in most circumstances, but undet

Circumstances it may be allowed... Overall its illegal and against policy

For a defendant to have communication with the district attorneys office.

Speak to your attorney... They would have to set it up.

If you have an attorney, the DA will not speak with you directly without your attorney's permission. In most cases, you should not be speaking to the DA directly because anything you say can be used against you in the case. If you would like to speak with the DA, you should tell your lawyer and ask your lawyer to give you advice on this. In most cases, a defense lawyer will advise against speaking to the DA because of the risks.

If, for some reason, you do not trust your own attorney, you should seek another, unrelated, attorney and explain the situation. That attorney can then arrange for a meeting with the DA if it is appropriate.
