Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Theft
If a person is caught stealing, but the store does not press charges, they just file ''trespassing'', then since it did not go to the police,is it on the police's record? If that person is under 18, will the jobs they apply for know about this, and will it affect their eligiblity for a job?
