Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
threat of calling cops over having sold pain medication
hi,
i have a friend who's is having a legal dillema. the accusation is that he sold pain medication (vicodin), for which he had a prescription, to someone. the buyer would threaten him that if he didn't sell it to him he would go buy heroin instead. the buyer went off to rehab for three months.
now the father of the buyer has threatened my friend with turning him into the police.
can this really be a serious legal matter? if so what could happen?
thanks

If the addict had proof it would be a very serious problem, but I think its a little late.
