Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Transferring inmates out of state
I married my husband in NY where he is in prison. I live in NC. Is there anyway that he can be transferred to a NC prison near where I live for the remaining 2 years of his term?

Re: Transferring inmates out of state
Generally you're out of luck on this one... If he is incarcerated on a state case then there is no chance, as there is no jurisdiction in NC and if is a federal matter there may be a small. Chance, but they generally do not do transfers for the prisoners convenience...
Much luck

No NC doesn't accept NY inmates, they have their own.
