You may be subject to arrest upon departure or on return. It is important to know the charge and the jurisdiction. You could also have an attorney check to see if a warrant has issued.

From my experience, if you return to a NYC airport they would certainly pick up the warrant and hold you for court and depending on how serious the charge is, set bail on you. Take care of the warrant before you leave the country.

Yes you would be red flagged and likely will not be able to leave on your trip. This can be a very serious matter and should be handled as quickly as possible. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases and reasonable fees, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. You are welcome to contact us for a free consultation.
