Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
trespassing
Why would and officer (who did not arrest me) write a summons on a yellow traffic ticket for ''trespassing'' if I was caught shoplifting? Is it possible he was being easy on me considering that I was clearly remorseful and cooperated entirely? The summons is written in violation of 240.45.
