Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

if u are involved in a incident to where the police just leave a card or come to house suposably jus for your side of story and questioned and u have been trying to contact police but not been abel to because they r not in if it is 72 hours or longer before u finnally contact them is everything dropped and i am free of everything??

That would all depend on what the situation was and the facts of the incident. You should, however, never make a statement to the police without an attorney present. If they contact you again obtain an attorney and do not speak to them alone.
