Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Unlawful Dealing with a Child

I recently was arrested in New York State. My charge is ''unlawful dealing with a child''. I purchased beer and my cousin who is 20 years old took it upon himself to drink it. I told the police officer I did not condone his behavior. However, I am left to face a class A misdemeanor charge regardless. What is the probability of getting this dropped to a lower charge or winning a court case in trial?
