Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

While my daughter was working she stopped on a break and wrote her intials on a rock of a commercial property. There was a surveillance tape.And she was arrested. Prior to getting arrested she went back to wash it off and it was gone but the officer told her it didn't matter beacause it was already done.She was handcuffed and arrested and is awaiting a hearing as of now. What can she do to get theses dropped and not put on her record. She had no record prior to this and has never been in trouble with the law. Now it is even jeopardizing her job
