Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Victim of Forcible Touching

I am a victim of Forcible Touching, and was wondering if I have any legal recourse against the perpitrator? I have been very emotionally upset, since this crime against me has been commited. The defendant has been let out on bail, but this is all I know so far. Thank you. Please email me @ [email protected].

Re: Victim of Forcible Touching

You can sue for your pain and suffering. However, cases like this usually require that you receive pyschological counseling in order to prove your emotional damages. Feel free to email or call if you want to discuss your options. 212-622-7180. Be mindful that there are certain limitations that apply to these cases, usually 1 year but those are tolled while the criminal case is pending.
