Violation of Probation Arraingment

My son violated his probation and a warrant was issued. The day it was issued he turned himself in. By law how long can they hold him before arraingment.

Re: Violation of Probation Arraingment

Usually you see a judge within 24- 48 hours, but unless hes got a bond, he stays in until the case is over

Re: Violation of Probation Arraingment

Because today is Monday, his internment awaiting arraignment could have lasted over the weekend.

Typically, if he is out on a bond, the court will re-issue the bail order if he turns himself in within 24 hours of his default.

There is a wild card here, however. he is on probation. Having violated probation, there may be no bail order.

A probation violation should be a serious matter. he may be required to serve out his original sentence in addition to any new penalties. Please take this very seriously.
