Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I have been wrongly convicted for minor assault for pushing a person, though he was not hurt. I had pushed him because he spat at me, which the judge did not believe as it was dark and the witness who waa far away did not see him spit. I have appealed the order. I have also moved an application for staying of the order, which is a probation for six months. The judge says that he will take an action on the staying of the order only after seeing the copy of the transcripts or atleast the copy of the judgement. The court reporter says even to give the transcripts of the judgement, it would take several weeks. Just because it is going to take several weeks for the court reporter to type, why should I be punished?? Isn't justice delayed, justice denied. Is there nothing that I can do to

It does take time to get transcripts and so you could ask for a continuance until the transcripts are available. If you are really serious about appealing this charge your best plan of action is to present all the information you have to a criminal defense attorney and have a consultation.
