Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I Wrote a Bad Check
I wrote a bad chack and recently received a notice from the DA to come in to discuss the allegation. Will this office prosecute me if the bad check is a civil matter also. The matter is in landlord tenant court? Please help. Thanks.

Never go to the DA to discuss anything without a competent criminal defense attorney present. The civil case will be affected by a criminal prosecution and potential conviction or guilty plea. You may contact my office for a free phone consultation
Re: I Wrote a Bad Check
You have nothing to gain by going in to the DA's office by yourself and a lot to lose. You should consult with a criminal defense attorney who may be able to speak with the ADA and find out more about the situation and advise you further.
Good luck!
