Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Several years ago, I was accused of assalt. I was charged and then fingerprinted.I went to court & It was later dismissed, ACOD is what my lawyer told me. However, I recently found out that there is still record of this. I am concerned that now my daughter is going for a job that will include checking the background of all who live in the same house as she (me). Is there anything I can do to totally have this charge that nothing became of removed from my record? Thank you.

Your records should be sealed. You should contact your former attorney and ask him why it was not sealed.
