In New York, with no expungement law, it will stay forever unless you get a Pardon from the Governor.

Forever... You have no right to expunge crimes off your record. Unless it was a drug case, now ny is allowing sealing of such cases and I. Order to do so yiu must hire an attorney familiar with the process as it is something very new.
