Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
In New York, prior to arraignment, would a civilian ever have the opportunity to meet with an arrestee? Like could a private investigator council an arrestee prior to the arraignment?

If the person is in jail, then no, unless the individual worked for the criminal defense attorney. If the person is out of jail, then yes.
