Legal Question in Discrimination Law in New York
Discrimination
I was recently fired from my job
because I have an eating disorder. I
was wondering, can a person get
fired from a job if they have an
eating disorder? Would that be
considered as discrimination or
something? Also me having an eating
disorder would not be a health
insurance concern for them, because
I did not get health insurance from
them. Any information would be very
helpful.

Your situation would likely be covered, if at all, under the Americans with Disabilities Act but a simple answer, unfortunately, is not possible. Unless someone on the board offers a more sensible suggestion, you should resarch a lawyer who specializes in this area. In fact, you should probably simply post your question in that section.
