Legal Question in Discrimination Law in New York

Can I be singled out and discriminated against for anything?

I work for a company that gives awards out for every five years of being with the company (5,10,15...ect). I have been with the company for just about seven years. I worked part time for the company right out of high school for about 2 and a half years, left for three and now have been back full time for seven. As far as I know, I am the only person out of about 200 across America and Canada that has not received the award. I have asked my boss a few times and still nothing. Do they still think of me as the kid out of high school that they can kick around? They have made me feel inadequate and separated from everyone else. It does bother me. If they did give me the award now, it would only be to deflect a lawsuit. Can I sue them?

Is your company not giving you the award because you are female, disabled, older than 40, a different race than the other employees?
