charge 1192.2 & 1192.3
Im 27 and i am from mtl canada and was arrested for a dui in clinton county. The BAC registered a .16. I have no prior charges ; clean recordt. Arresting officer also said I ran 1 mailbox. I have court this week (am retaining a lawyer) Realistically, what am I looking at in terms of possible fines, suspensions, etc?

Usually a first offense is reduced to a traffic violation of driving while ability is impaired 1192.1 however given the size of your BAC the DA may not let you have that plea bargain.
If you are held to your charges and you decide to plead guilty or are found guilty after trial you can expect a misdemeanor record for conviction of a crime and a fine of up to One Thousand dollars and up to a year in Jail.
More than likely the fine will be far less and there will be no jail. Your driving privileges in NY will be revoked for at least 6 months and if after that you re-enter the NY you will have to go to DMV to restore your privilege and you will face an administrative cost for that restoration.
