Legal Question in DUI Law in New York

Dui

I had a DUI in Ga in 1997. But i had a SC drivers license. Now after 10 plus years I have been toold I must complete 16 hours of knowledge and skills with a certified drug counselor. But I now live in NY State. What do I do? I can not afford this ..Please tell me what to do. This all came from me ammending my drivers license as I got married.

You question is unclear. If you are applying for a NYS license you can complete the drug/alcohol program part of your SC sentence here in NYS.

As for cost, review that issue with NYS DMV. There are several other financial penalties for DWI/DUI, too. So be prepared.
