Re: DUI in NJ with NY license

Generally, a state ONLY has the jurisdiction to suspend a drivers license issued by that state, and within that state. If you have a license in another state they can not suspend those privileges directly, however that being said they will communicate out to other state DMV's and then those states may chose to suspend your privileges.

/in NY you are asked in your application for a drivers license if you have any suspened licenses from any other states, and also to list ID #'s for any licenses you have outside of NY.

much luck!
