Hello i got a dwi in january o7 they gave me 5yrs probation its bin 2yrs an one month i completed all programs i hav an oppertunity to move to north carolina to be with my children my lawyer told me after about 2yrs that might realease me if i could prove a residence there he said they wont transfer probation down there is this true if so how do i go about this thank you

Misdemeanor probation does not transfer to NC. Felony probation may transfer. However, your atty can petition the judge to release you early from probation if you have had no problems.
