Legal Question in Education Law in New York
Well I am currently having financial problems do to having insufficient funds. I do not receive enough to afford an apartment due to having to pay everything off. I have a child that is still a minor and I have her living with my mother until I can afford an apartment. My mother is retired and is under Section 8 in Manhattan. I wanted to know if there was any way that she could sign up my daughter to go to the school near by under her without the state taking her off Section 8?

This will be deemed as a temporary custody and it will - or should not- have an adverse effect her section 8 payments.
