Legal Question in Education Law in New York
Firing District Employees
My district just fired an over qualified soccer coach and hired a Board member's relative. Our team has been very successful under his leadership. They gave no reason why he was fired and refused to allow anyone to speak on the fired coaches' behalf at the board meeting. This is not the first time this has happened in my district. Is this legal and what can I do to stop it?

In the next school board election, run a slate of candidates against these members. You should have plenty of support. That's what democracy is all about.
