Pledge of Allegiance
In New York State Public Schools, can a public school official force a student to stand during the pledge of allegiance? Can a public school official force a student to recite the pledge of allegiance?

These things are generally considered to be constitutionally protected, but in schools the administrators get away with alot.
The US Supreme Court just granted certiorari to a case involving a high school student who had a banner that read "bong 4 jesus' or something similar, and was suspended as a result. That should finally answer these questions.
