Legal Question in Education Law in New York
My scholar student daughter applied for Grad school at a very prestigious University located overseas and she was accepted with a "Full tuition waiver". She was very elated and when she asked some questions via e-mail she received a reply that an error was made in the mailing and to ignore the inititial, she not receive the full tuition waiver. This is so wrong??????? She is upset and so are we. My question: Does my daughter have any legal recourse against the International University that made this major blunder? Thank you very much for all your assistance and I await your reply.

It depends on the law in the foreign country, and it actuay sounds like a bait and switch to get you to pay. have you contacted financial aid at teh university? A full tuition waiver anywhere for a US student is extremely rare or possible non-existent.
