Legal Question in Education Law in New York

suspended for assumed drug use

i was suspended for three days from my high school. i fell asleep in a class and it was hard for the teacher to wake me up. eventually i woke up and was brought to the nurse. two other students both fell asleep in their classes too, and they assumed we were all using some sort of drugs. there was no other reason to believe i was in any way involved with drugs. is that enough evidence to suspend me?

Re: suspended for assumed drug use

According to Chancellor's Regulation A-443 (find at the Board's website, www.nycenet.edu -- click on the administrators' link on the left side, then on "chancellor's regulations" -- or try http://docs.nycenet.edu/dscgi/admin.py/Get/File-784/A-443.pdf)you may be suspended for this reason but only if appropriate procedures have been followed. If you want to challenge the suspension, you should check with
