Legal Question in Elder Law in New York

conververtorship

can a person who has raised a child from a baby to 18, who did not adopt this child and now the child is over 50 and married, legally can she get conververtorship? the 50 yr. old, had a stoke and is not competent at all to speak for herself.... the person who raised this child has documentation of how the husband has financial, physically, and mentally has taken advantage of the (50 yr. old) wife.....he has forged the signature on her 401K, and the back social security, has bought what he wanted and not for the stoke victim, his wife, and 3 times this stroke victim ended up in the hospital with broken bones and etc.....when the stoke victim, calls her children, they go directly to the father and that is when he shuts her cell off,so what i am really wanting to know, does this woman who raised this child, has a leg to stand on? the lady who raised her lives in new york and the stroke victim lives in south carolina, for you info....thank you

Re: conververtorship

This is not possible because the husband is financially responsible. You are asking if you can get her divorced while she is inmcompetent.
